Writer/Producer Nick Whitby’s previous theatre work includes ‘To The Green Fields Beyond’ directed by Sam Mendes at the Donmar Warehouse in 2000 (and later productions in America, Australia and Canada).  His first play ‘Dirty Dishes’ was produced at Edinburgh and the Boulevard Theatre, London, and afterwards in over twenty productions across Europe.  He has also written a community play for Chichester Theatre for a cast of two hundred local actors.  His TV and film work includes co-writing The Sean Hughes Show, and Cows with Eddie Izzard, and writing sketches for the Emmy award-winning Smack the Pony, all for Channel Four.  He has also written numerous episodes of various drama series for ITV and, last year, the drama-documentary Last Flight to Kuwait for the BBC.  His latest play To Be Or Not To Be (based on the Ernst Lubitsch 1942 film) will have its world premiere at the Friedman theatre on Broadway in October 2008.   He was awarded the Nick Darke Award 2008.
